The Development and Implementation of the Gender, Sex and Variation of Sex Characteristics Standards

Presenter Micah Davison is a Senior Advisor in the Data and Statistical Standards team of Stats NZ. He led the conceptual work, stakeholder engagement and public consultation process to develop the new statistical standard for gender, sex and variations of sex characteristics. Micah is now working to support implementation of the standard in Stats NZ surveys, and data collected by other agencies.
